Eligibility for Solar Subsidy
Residential Property
Must be a residential building owned by you. Commercial properties are not eligible.
Individual Ownership
The property should be in your name. Rented properties need owner consent.
DISCOM Approved Vendor
Installation must be done by WBSEDCL (West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company) empaneled vendor.
System Size Limit
Maximum 10 kW for individual houses, up to 500 kW for group housing societies.
Make in India Products (DCR Required)
Solar modules/panels MUST strictly be domestically manufactured in India (DCR complied) and be ALMM certified to be eligible. Standard (non-DCR) panels will void your subsidy claim.
Net Metering Connection
Systems must be grid-connected. Net Metering is mandatory for all subsidized systems. Off-grid systems do not qualify.
